Subject: JVM failed to start using Linux
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Error Message
Platform: Not Applicable
Release: Beta 1
Reproducible: Always

I have a customer who is on Linux and has just upgraded to Beta 1.

He is now getting the error: "LS2J Error: Java Virtual Machine failed to start." when he attempts to call code in one of the database Java script libraries (called from a LotusScript library using LS2J).

His Java environment looks like this:
java version "1.6.0_06"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_06-b02)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 10.0-b22, mixed mode)

Whereisjava:
java: /usr/bin/java /usr/share/java /usr/share/man/man1/java.1.gz

Path:
/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games

What would I need him to check for apart from his PATH etc. I am not a Linux expert :(

Many thanks, ian
